Badung, Bali (ANTARA) - The Ngurah Rai Immigration Office in Badung District, Bali, has arrested three Chinese nationals at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport for their alleged involvement in an aggravated theft in Bogor, West Java.

“We arrest anyone on the wanted list, provided that the information has been shared with us,” said Immigration Office Head Bugie Kurniawan in Bali on Saturday.

The three men, identified by the initials JW, RW, and HL, were stopped while attempting to board a flight to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

They had been flagged by Immigration’s internal tracking system, and officers noted suspicious behavior during routine checks before their departure.

Further investigation confirmed that the suspects were wanted in connection with a theft reported by Bogor City Police.

The incident occurred on March 22, 2026, at around 8:45 p.m. in an upscale residential area, where the house had been vacant since March 18 while the residents were on vacation.

The suspects have since been handed over to Bogor City Police for further legal proceedings.

Kurniawan stressed that the arrests demonstrate Indonesia’s commitment to ensuring airports cannot be used as loopholes to evade justice.

“We safeguard the state’s sovereignty and security, and will continue to work with law enforcement agencies to ensure every lawbreaker is held accountable,” he said.
