He stated that the ministry continues to need support and input from local governments and electoral district representatives regarding the education policy in the 3T (Underdeveloped, Frontier, and Outermost) regions.
“We have just laid the foundation for various policies to realize quality education for all. Because it relates to those living in 3T regions, we continue to need your support and input,” Mu'ti said in Kupang City on Tuesday.
On that occasion, Anita Jacoba Gah, a member of the House of Representatives (DPR), presented several suggestions for the Primary and Secondary Education Ministry and regional governments to strengthen the implementation of education policies, particularly in NTT, as one of the 3T regions.
She stated that advancing education in NTT clearly requires strong synergy and policy orchestration among stakeholders.
Through its legislative, budgetary, and oversight functions, she stated that the House of Representatives (DPR) is committed to continuously promoting education policies that support regions with complex geographic and social challenges, such as East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
On that occasion, she proposed strengthening data collection on teacher and education personnel needs based on continuously updated real data to ensure targeted recruitment, distribution, and placement of human resources.
Furthermore, Anita also proposed strengthening affirmative action programs that provide incentives for teachers and education personnel serving in the 3T regions.
"I propose that the structuring of teacher and education personnel needs to be based on real data to ensure targeted recruitment, distribution, and placement," Anita said.
I also propose a special affirmative action program for remote areas by providing appropriate incentives to educators and tiered training to develop their potential," she said.
