The training was conducted through the Pontianak Center for Standardization and Industrial Services (BSPJI) as an effort to support the provision of safe, hygienic, and quality food for the public.
Minister of Industry Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita said the standardization and quality assurance systems are crucial factors in maintaining the quality of food products while increasing public trust in nutrition fulfillment services.
"The standardization and product quality assurance are crucial factors in increasing market confidence and strengthening the competitiveness of the national industry," he remarked in a statement on Thursday.
The activity, held on May 6–7, 2026, at BSPJI Pontianak, was attended by participants from SPPGs/Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) kitchens in Landak District and Pontianak City.
Through technical guidance, participants gained knowledge in the implementation of a HACCP-based food safety system, from identifying potential food hazards and controlling critical points to the importance of consistently implementing food safety procedures throughout the food supply process.
In line with strengthening standardization and quality assurance in the industrial sector, Emmy Suryandari, Head of the Industrial Services Standardization and Policy Agency (BSKJI), emphasized that a food safety system is a crucial aspect in ensuring product quality and consumer protection.
“The application of standardization and quality assurance systems must be continuously reinforced to ensure products comply with safety and quality standards while enhancing public confidence,” Emmy stated.
Meanwhile, the head of Pontianak BSPJI, Ahmad Nashoruddin Muammar, conveyed that understanding the HACCP system is a crucial aspect in supporting the provision of safe and quality food, particularly in public nutrition services.
"With this activity, we hope SPPG managers will understand the importance of implementing a comprehensive food safety system, to maintain the quality of the nutrition services provided to the public," he said.
