He said construction of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT is already complete. Key aspects, such as signaling and the railway system, are also ready for use.
In addition, the area beneath the LRT has also begun to be tidied up ahead of planned greenery work. Aside from the readiness of the railway system, connectivity between the LRT and bus rapid transit Transjakarta at several stations has also been prepared.
The connectivity is expected to make it easier for passengers to switch transportation modes once the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT begins operating.
Anung also said another trial run of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT has been carried out. According to the results, travel time from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai was recorded at around 28 minutes.
"Another trial run was conducted recently, and the travel time from Kelapa Gading to Manggarai was 28 minutes," he said.
Amid preparations for the operation of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai route, the Jakarta provincial government will also proceed with construction of the LRT line from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas.
The governor said construction of the roughly 2.1-kilometer extension can already begin.
"I have also requested that construction of the extension from Manggarai to Dukuh Atas, which is around 2 or 2.1 kilometers, can start now, and the budget is already available," he said.
Previously, Jakpro President Director Iwan Takwin said the trial run of the Kelapa Gading-Manggarai LRT route was focused on ensuring service readiness, human resources, and other supporting facilities for customer comfort.
During the trial period, the LRT Jakarta operated at a maximum speed of 40 kilometers per hour and a maximum service capacity of 100 passengers.
