Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Antasari Azhar, former chief of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), plans to request a judicial review of his prison sentence for murder.

"I still have the right to ask for justice , namely a judicial review, and I will explain the detailed reasons in my judicial review memorandum," Antasari said here Monday when being transferred from the Jakarta Police`s jail to Cipinang Prison.

Antasari said he would reveal all the dicrepancies that had occurred during the investigation of his case, the trial proceedings leading to the court verdict.

One of the dicrepancies was the fact that Nasruddin Zulkarnaen`s clothes were not presented as evidence in court, Antasari said.

He said he respected all legal processes, but he called on the law enforcers not allow miscarriage of justice to happen.

However, he said he would file his judicial review request when the conditions and situation were conducive.

He also said the Supreme Court panel of judges that had handled his appeal was not unanimous in upholding his 18-year jail sentence.

The South Jakarta prosecutors office moved Antasari to Cipinang prison in response to the Supreme Court`s rejection of Antasari Azhar`s appeal against his sentence.

Antasari Azhar was found guilty by the South Jakarta district court`s panel of judges in connection with the high profile case that arose over the murder of businessman Nasruddin Zulkarnaen last year.

Besides Antasari, former South Jakarta police chief Williardi Wizar would also be moved to the same prison while two other inmates, Sigid Haryo Wibisono and Jerry Hermawan Lo had been moved to Cipinang prison on December 31, 2010.

In connection with this murder case, the South Jakarta district court`s panel of judges, headed by Herri Swantoro, sentenced Antasari Azhar to 18 years in jail last year for masterminding Zulkarnaen`s murder.
