Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono summoned state electricity company PT PLN (Persero) President Director Dahlan Iskan to the State Palace on Monday.

The PLN chief was summoned for a meeting, closed for media coverage, at 9 on Monday morning at the State Palace.

When Dahlan arrived at the Palace, he also refused to be interviewed by reporters about the topic to be discussed at the meeting with the president.

The government installed Dahlan Iskan in December 2009 as the president director of state electricity company PT PLN.

Presidential spokesman Julian Aldrin Pasha said that at the brief meeting with President Yudhoyono, Dahlan only reported about the progress of PT PLN.

"I cannot give a further explanation, but the PLN president director only reported about the progress of the state electricity company," Julian said.

After receiving the PLN president director, President Yudhoyono chaired a limited cabinet meeting to discuss the alleged tax fraud case of former tax official Gayus Tambunan.

Gayus is believed to be involved in a tax fraud mafia syndicate. He has continued making headlines after it was discovered he had made overseas trips while he was officially supposed to be in a detention cell.

He is also believed to have forged his picture for making a forged passport to go abroad.

Gayus was believed to be in Macao on September 22 to 24, 2010 and later on September 30, 2010 and October2, 2010 to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore.

Then at 8 on Monday evening the president is scheduled to have a meeting with interfaith leaders at the State Palace.

Julian said the interfaith meeting would be held in response to a request from Muhammadiah Central Executive Chairman Din Syamsuddin to meet with the head of state.

Julian said the president had responded positively to the request and had a meeting scheduled for Monday evening at the State Palace.
