"Indonesian tourism is very good but it should be more competitive," Jurgen Nauber said.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The UN-World Tourism Organization (UN-WTO) is of the opinion that Indonesian tourism should be more competitive than other countries in the Asian region.

"Indonesian tourism is very good but it should be more competitive," Coordinator Consulting Unit on Tourism and Biodiversity UN-WTO, Jurgen Nauber, told ANTARA News here on Wednesday.

Nauber said all countries, especially in Asian and African region, wanted their tourism sector more advanced because it was proven to have a lion-share contribution in a country`s economy.

"It is the reason why many countries are vying to develop their tourism sector to make it more advanced," he said.

Therefore, Nauber called on Indonesia to compete with other countries in making its tourism sector more attractive.

"Indonesia has everything for the tourism sector to be much better, because it is predicted to attract more than 7.7 million foreign tourists set this year.

A good and strong structure according to Nauber could become the key to success in building the tourism sector.
