Palu, C Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - Clashes of residents between two neighboring villages in Dolo sub-district, Sigi district, Central Sulawesi, broke out Thursday evening.

Residents of Karawana village and its neighbor Solove village during the clash used home-made bombs with nails and shards.

Four people were reported injured after they were hit by air rifle bullets in the clashes which involved hundreds of people from the two villages.

They were hit in the thigh and face but were not hospitalized because their injuries were not serious.

Police fired warning shots to disperse villagers in the clash which was triggered by a fight between two young men several days earlier.(*)
