"This is a form of appreciation to Garuda`s working team under the leadership of Emirsyah, from Orient Aviation, an official magazine of AAPA (Association of Asia Pacific Airlines) comprising 17 large airlines in the region," Garuda Communication Head Pujobroto said prior to a conferment ceremony here on Tuesday.
He said Garuda posted a net profit of Rp600 billion in 2007. The figure rose to Rp811 billion in 2008 and further moved up to Rp1 trillion in 2009.
Garuda is currently operating 87 planes to serve 38 domestic and 19 international destinations. (*)
