Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Some 112 Indonesian citizens residing in one of the most affected areas hit by last week`s earthquake and tsunami in Sendai prefecture will shortly be evacuated to Indonesia, the Indonesian Ambassador to Japan said.

"Last night the 112 people arrived in Tokyo. They have agreed to be evacuated soon to Jakarta," said Indonesian ambassador to Japan Muhammad Luthfi to ANTARA through international phone, Monday afternoon.

Lutfi added that in the group of Indonesians that evacuated from Sendai to Tokyo by the Indonesian embassy, there was one Vietnamese and Taiwanese who joined the group.

On the fate of the four Indonesian working as crews of the missing Kuni Maru No. 3 vessel in Yamagi prefecture, another region washed by the tsunami last Friday, the Indonesian embassy did not t their whereabouts, the ambassador.

The vessel itself has been found stranded on the ground approximately 2.5 kms inland from the shoreline.

Ambassador Lutfi said that the embassy maintains communication with the Japanese maritime authority and the local seamen`s association on the matter.(*)
