Melbourne (ANTARA News/AAP-OANA) - The women at the centre of a sex scandal inside the Australian Defence Force Academy (ADFA) reportedly was told she would have to make a speech apologising for her decision to go public.

On Tuesday, the 18-year-old student told Network Ten she had been secretly filmed while having sex with another student.

The film was broadcast to six other students watching nearby.

The woman met with ADFA commandant Bruce Kafer on Tuesday night.

She was offered no counselling and told she would have to give a speech to her colleagues apologising for humiliating them by going to the media, Ten said.

The speech was cancelled at the last minute for fear it would fuel the anger directed at the woman by fellow cadets, the network said.
