"The Institute supports programs to enhance relations between our two countries in the areas of arts, education and Australian Studies, youth, civil society, inter-faith, media and sports," the Australian Deputy Head of Mission, Paul Robilliard was quoted by the Australian Embassy website as saying here on Tuesday.
The AII grants are intended to provide seed funding for innovative proposals relevant to the aims and objectives of the Institute. Project funding is awarded through a competitive selection process and normally limited to a maximum of AUD20, 000 per applicant.
"The AII plays an important role in strengthening the people-to-people linkages between our two nations," said the Australian Deputy Head of Mission, Paul Robilliard.
"As neighbours and strategic partners, the work of the AII fulfils an important role in updating perceptions and understanding between the people of Indonesia and Australia," Robilliard said.
Applicants must complete in English the Online Grant Application form (available at http://dfat.smartygrants.com.au/aii) and provide all mandatory requested information and documentation. Applications must be completed and lodged on the system by Friday 3 June 2011 at 14:00 WIB.
