"Our preparations have reached 90 percent until today," Director General of Protocol and Consular Affairs at the Foreign Ministry Luthfi Rauf said after receiving Vice President Boediono at the JHCC here on Wednesday.
Boediono visited the JHCC to inspect preparations for the summit.
"If anything needs to be improved we will do it. What is important, preparations are going on," Luthfi said.
The government has designated the Army Gatot Soebroto Hospital as a medical health care center for participants of the summit.
Ten ASEAN heads of state/government are expected to take part in the two-day summit.
During their stay, the ASEAN leaders and delegates will stay at Hotel Indonesia Kempinsky, Hotel Grand Hyatt, Hotel Mandarin, Hotel Four Season, Hotel Shangri-la, Hotel Mulia Senayan, Hotel Ritz-Carlton, and Hotel JW Marriot.
The police said earlier 4,385 personnel are deployed from May 4 to 8 to provide security during the summit.
ASEAN (the Association of Southeast Asian Nations) groups Brunei Darussalam, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
