Members of the delegation were Sutan Bhatoegana, Hartanto Edhie Wibowo, Tri Yulianto, Jhoni Allen Marbun, Tri Hanurita, Halim Kalla, Arsyadjuliandi Rachman, Totok Daryanto, Kus Indarwati, Rahmat Setiadi and Abdul Nasir, Gita said on Tuesday.
According to Gita, the House Commission VII monitoring energy, research, technology and environment, met his French (Assemblee Nationale) counterpart for an exchange of thoughts and experience in the making of laws, especially on energy.
The talks covered legislative role in making international cooperation agreements on energy, and parliamentary support to strengthening state energy corporations, government control of energy laws and policies, and parliamentary support to environmentally friendly renewable energy policies and remission reductions.
Commission VII also met with French ministries and other renewable energy institutions for information and discussions on French energy policies on supply management and meeting demands for renewable energy.
Topics of discussions cover coordination of planning, energy and environmental policies, fostering state-owned companies and energy industries, subsidy models in tariffs in energy policies.
The discussions were also on the involvement of the public and shareholders, and French government action plans to achieve the targeted 72 pct CO2 emission by 2070.
The commission members also held a meeting with the management of TOTAL, Electricite de France, and ALSTOM International Energy.
The visit was at the same time a return visit of the French Parliament in charge of energy in 2009 and further contributed to increased bilateral relations between the two countries.(*)
