Semarang, C Java (ANTARA News) - Indonesia should win 60 percent of the gold medals for the martial arts event in next November`s SEA Games if it wants to become the overall champion in this ports branch , a coach said.

Martial arts coach Rony Syaifullah when contacted here on Monday said the SEA Games to be held in South Sumatra and Jakarta in November would offer 18 gold medals in the martial arts sport branch.

"We have to win 60 percent of the golds if we want to become the overall champion in this event. That`s why we have to closely observe the potentials of our rivals," Rony said.

He said that there was optimism that Indonesia would be able to become the champion, as in the world martial arts championship in Jakarta in 2010, Indonesia was able to win the overall winner.

Indonesia was able to grab 10 golds of the 23 at stake in the Jakarta martial arts event in 2010, he said.
