London (ANTARA News/AFP) - US President Barack Obama on Monday landed in London for the second leg of his European visit, a day ahead of schedule due to a volcanic ash cloud drifting towards Britain.

Air Force One landed at London`s Stansted Airport around 2115 GMT, according to an AFP photographer on board, kicking off a two-day official state visit full of pomp and pageantry.

The US leader will spend his unscheduled night in London at the ambassador`s residence. (*)
