Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police have arrested another alleged attacker of three police officers in Palu, Central Sulawesi, on May 25.

"We arrested him last night," the head of the National Police`s public relations division, Inspector General Anton Bachrul Alam. said here on Tuesday.

He did not tell the name of the suspect. "This one is not of the two wanted so far but is found following further investigation of the two suspects arrested earlier," he said.

He said this person is one of the members of the family Hariyanto, the suspect arrested earlier who played a role of hiding evidence.

"From him the police discovered several bullets," he said.

Anton said the police are still searching the two suspects wanted so far who are believed hiding in the forest in Poso namely Fauzan and Dayat alias Farouk.

The police have so far arrested Hariyanto and Furqon.

Due their attack at Bank Central Asia on Jalan Emay Saelan at 11.30am local time on May 25 two police officers namely second brigadier Prawira and second brigadier Gustiar Yudhistira had died while second brigadier Deddy Edwar had been injured.

The two died on the scene. The officers were attacked while on duty securing vital objects.

The attackers used rifles and had taken away the gun held by one of the officers. They fled on a motorcycle after conducting the attack.

Police had said they had found indications of terrorism in the incident. (H-YH/A/HAJM/13:55/O001)
