"One more victim was found dead," Jonas Lomban Tobing, Indonesian consul general based in Johor Bahru, told Antara by phone on Sunday.
Tobing said the body was found in a state of decay without cloth and Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APPM) personnel found no identity on it.
The body was taken to the Kota Tinggi hospital in Johor, Malaysia, for autopsy and later buried in the neighboring country.
With the discovery of the dead victim, seven more people including two skippers are still missing. The Malaysian authorities earlier found one dead victim identified as Jumagin and rescued 17 passengers.
The Malaysian authorities are still continuing their search for five Indonesian migrant workers and two skippers. "The Indonesian consulate general keeps monitoring the search for the five Indonesian migrant workers," Tobing said.
The boat capsized in Tanjung Ayam waters, Malaysia, last Wednesday at 03.30 western Indonesian time en route to Batam, Riau Islands province.
Seventeen of the Indonesian migrant workers were rescued after floating in the sea for seven hours. All the survivors are being accommodated in Batam before being sent to their respective home towns.(*)
