Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Police in Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, have caught a salesman who was peddling methamphetamine illegally during his marketing rounds.

Ispector Sigit Rahayudi on behalf of the Banjarmasin city resort police chief Commissioner Christian Ronny said here on Saturday the multi-level marketing person was caught red-handed at around 6.30pm local time in Bayiur Dalam, Banjarmasin, along with the evidence on Tuesday.

Police caught the salesman known as Udin following information about narcotic drugs transactions that often happened in Bayiur Dalam.

Udin meanwhile had confessed he had carried out the business for around two months. He said he had done so because his salary as a salesman was not enough to meet his family`s needs.

He said he bought the drug from Didi whom he had known for a long time for Rp150,000 (about US$16) and sold it for Rp200,000 a packet and got a profit of Rp50,000.
