Tehran (ANTARA News/IRNA-OANA) - Egypt`s Permanent Representative to the United Nations Majed Abdelaziz has said the country was optimistic about future of Tehran-Cairo ties as two influential states in the Islamic world.

Speaking to IRNA in New York on Friday, Majed said Cairo has potentially been optimistic about establishing bilateral ties with Tehran, however, he stressed the issue was completely depended on the will of officials of the two countries.

Pointing to the latest political developments in Egypt, he underlined that currently a massive revolution was under way in that country which would lead to conducting parliamentary elections and formulating a new constitution for Egypt.

He stressed that the new constitution would fulfill wishes of the Egyptian people.
