Online data from the directorate general of customs and excise at the finance ministry on Monday also show state revenues from export tax climbed 301.66 percent to Rp15.41 trillion from the target of Rp5.11 trillion.
State receipts from import duties meanwhile reached Rp11.27 trillion, accounting for 62.94 percent of the target of Rp17.90 trillion.
The excise receipts represented a significant increase compared with the year ended May 6 when the figure was Rp23.88 trillion or 30.05 percent of the target.
State revenues from export tax and import duties in the year to May 6 respectively reached Rp11.26 trillion or 220.39 percent of the target and Rp8.38 trillion or 46.84 percent of the target.
Director General of Customs and Excise Agung Kuswandono said the state revenues from export tax in the year ended June 22 represented more than 300 percent of the target but their contribution to the overall state revenues was small.
"Admittedly, state receipts from export tax have exceeded the target and even reached six to seven times as much as the target but the main contributors of customs and excise receipts are excise and import duties," he said.
He attributed the higher state revenues from export tax to rising crude palm oil prices in the global market.
