Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The dynamics in the Democrat Party (PD) is now changing from protecting its former treasurer M. Nazaruddin to attacking him, Chairman of the Setara Institute Hendardi said.

"The PD elite might deliberately be using a blow-up political communication strategy with aggressive attitude and comments. They even have reported him to the police," Hendardi said here on Thursday.

He said the PD elite`s attitude was against their earlier stance which was very protective towards Nazaruddin.

The Setera Institute Chairman said that the turnaround in the PD`s attitude was apparently designed to counter the various issues supposedly disseminated by Nazaruddin through a Blackbarry Messenger (BBM).

The ultimate objective of the PD`s change of attitude was to make the public disbelieve the issues disseminated through the BBM.

"Ultimately, the various issues become unclear and PD could be freed from various allegations by Nazaruddin, while at the same time it hoped that its declining image would be improved," Hendardi said.

He said that the allegation through the BBM that PD elite had collectively been involved in corruption was obviously not something certain, yet the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) must scrutinize the information.

"It is impossible for a political corruption (budget mafia) to be committed individually," he said.

Hendardi said that the step of the PD elite who turned Nazaruddin as a collective enemy should be seen as a move to wash hand in order to bury the issues that were believed to have been disseminated by Nazaruddin.

It was earlier reported that PD associate chairman I Gde Pasek Suardika said Nazaruddin had disseminated a lie to the public through a short text message (SMS) to several parties.

Pasek said that Nazrudin`s lie could be seen from the contents of his SMS which continued to change.

"What he disclosed always showed a fact that he was lying. We have collected his statements whose contents always changed," he said.

However, Nazaruddin had always stated to the media that what he was saying was true.
