Palembang (ANTARA News) - Indonesia represented by a Bank Sumselbabel team surrendered to Tang Dynasty from China 0-3 in the Group A eliminating round of the Asia Men`s volley-ball Group Championship here on Monday.

Earlier Indonesia was able to beat Vietnam 3-2 and Uzbekistan 3-0.

In the first set Indonesia was able to fight the Chinese until an 18-18 tie but after that the Chinese continued to proceed to conclude the game 25-22.

In the second set Indonesia was beaten 20-25 and in the defining third set it lost 18-25.

After the match watched by around 1,500 spectators Chinese team coach Jiang Wang said the match was tight but his team finally was able to win the game 3-0.

"I appreciate the Indonesian team that has fought hard," he said through an interpreter.

Indonesian coach assistant Dadang Sudrajat meanwhile said that his players had been able to fight them especially in the first set.

"Indonesia played quite well in the first set but in the second and third the players started to lose their focus. We were still weak in the blocking and that had affected much on their whole performance," he said.

Regarding the country`s chance in the game attended by 12 countries Dadang hoped the team could enter the big eight minimally.

"There is still an opportunity for the team to win over Afghanistan and enter the big eight. So we must not be off guard against Afghanistan," he said.

Vietnam in the earlier matches beat Uzbekistan 3-0 and Qatar won over Turkmenistan also 3-0.

Japan and Thailand had also recorded a 3-0 victory. Japan represented by Blazer Sakai beat Etisalat from Afghanistan 25-10, 25-19 and 25-6 while Thailand represented by Chang Club defeated Myanmar 25-14, 25-22, 25-19.
