Balikpapan, East Kalimantan (ANTARA News) - Aiport operator PT Angkasa Pura is renovating and expanding four airports in Indonesia with a fund totaling Rp6 trillion, the company`s chief said.

PT Angkasa Pura President Director Tommy Soetomo said that the four airports which were under renovation and expansion were the international airport of Sepinggan in Balikpapan, Banjarmasin`s Syamsuddin Noor airport in Central Kalimantan, Juanda airport in Surabaya, East Java and Adisutjipto airport in Yoyakarta.

He said that at present the Sepinggan airport had been done with with a total cost of Rp1.6 trillion.

The remaining three airports will be renovated and expanded simultaneously, he said here on Tuesday.

The projects are fianced by Bank Mandiri with total funds of Rp5 trillion. The remaining Rp1 trillion funds came from PT Angkasa Pura itself.
