Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The identity of the suicide bomber in Solo is to be made known to the pubic on Tuesday, police said.

"Right now, we are still waiting for the results of the DNA test. Hopefully it can be made known tomorrow," National Police chief General Timur Pradopo said after conducting tree planting with Defense Forces (TNI) Commander Admiral Agus Suhartono to mark the commemoration of the TNI`s 66th anniversary in Sentul, Bogor, West Java, on Monday.

The body of the suspected bomber at the Bethel Injil Sepenuh church (GBIS) in Kepunton, Solo, Central Java, had been taken to the police hospital in Kramat Jati, East Jakarta, for forensic tests.

The suicide bomber died in the attack on the church at around 11am on Sunday (Sept 25).

The blast meanwhile had also seriously injured 14 people and lightly wounded four others.

Most of the wounded suffered wounds caused by nails, nuts and bolts coming from the bomb.

All of the wounded victims treated at dr. Oen Hospital had passed the critical stage after undergoing surgeries from Sunday night through Monday morning.

The director of the hospital, dr. Wily Handoko Wijaya, said in Solo, on Monday 14 out of 24 victims taken to the hospital had undergone surgeries to take the items out of their bodies.

"Two victims have been declared under critical conditions namely Deviana who was hurt in the head, pierced by bomb fractures and Ferian who was hurt in the testical due to bomb fractures," he said.

Their conditions have now been stable and they have been fully conscious, he said.

He said the last operation was finished at 10am on Monday on Ferdianto who had his arm pierced by bolts.

The National Police head of public information division, Senior Commissioner Boy Rafli Amar, meanwhile said the suspected bomber was believed to be one of the six people wanted by the police in connection with the bombing in Cirebon, West Java, last April.

"It was believed the suspect was connected with the bombing in Cirebon. However we cannot as yet tell the whole data," he said at the National Police Headquarters here on Monday. (*)
