Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Bali was shaken by an earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale on Thursday morning.

The earthquake located 143 km southwest of Nusa Dua and at a depth of 10 km, did not have potential to trigger a tsunami, Sutopo Purwo Nugroho, the head of the National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB)`s data and information center, said here on Thursday.

The BNPB headquarters in Jakarta has made coordination with the local BNPB office in Bali to deal with the disaster aftermath.(*)
