"The teams have left the refugee camps. The work is carrying on thanks to the local staff," the president of the Spanish branch of MSF (Doctors Without Borders), Jose Antonio Bastos, told a news conference.
The organisation has 49 foreign employees in the Dadaab refugee camp, including the two kidnapped Spanish women, and 343 local staff, he added.
At least three gunmen who Kenyan police say were Somali Islamist Shebab rebels seized the two women from the refugeee camp on Thursday after shooting their Kenyan driver in the neck.
Regional police chief Leo Nyongesa told AFP that there were indications that the women were taken across the border to Somalia but Bastos said the medical NGO had received no indication where they are.
The Dadaab refugee camp is the world`s largest. It is home to some 450,000 mainly Somali refugees fleeing drought, famine or war. (*)
