Nur Pamudji was formerly the company`s director of primary energy.
Jakarta, Nov 1 (ANTARA) - State Enterprises Minister Dahlan Iskan installed Nur Pamudji as the new president director of state electricity company PLN here on Monday.

The installation ceremony at the PLN`s Karet Substation was attended by Energy and Mineral Resources Minister Jero Wacik, first echelon officials of the energy and mineral resources and the state-owned enterprises ministries.

Dahlan in his speech said he had deliberately chosen the Karet substation as the venue for the installation because the substation was a vital facility in the distribution of electricity among PLN customers.

"The location also matches with the PLN`s theme namely work, work and work," he said.

Operators who work at the substation had also been invited to the ceremony.

Nur Pamudji was formerly the company`s director of primary energy and he replaced Dahlan Iskan who was installed as state enterprises minister following a recent cabinet reshuffle by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

Dahlan in his decision letter Number KEP-224/MBU/2011 on termination and appointment of PLN board members dated October 31, 2011 had cut the number of PLN directors from 10 to nine.

He changed the titles of two PLN directors. The title of director of planning and technology was changed to director of construction and that of director of business and risk management to director of planning and risk management.

Based on the changes, Dahlan named Nasri Sebayang formerly director of planning and technology as director of construction and Murtaqi Syamsuddin formerly director of business and risk management as director of planning and risk management.

The titles of the other directors remained the same, namely president director, director of finance, director of Java-Bali Operations, director of Eastern Indonesia Operations, director of strategic procurements and director of human resources and general affairs.(*)
