Gunmen opened fire on the vehicle on Friday in the Shaba National Reserve, wounding one of the tourists, as it returned from a drive in the park where famed naturalist Joy Adamson was killed in 1980.
The suspects pleaded not guilty to the charges of robbery with violence and murder and will be detained until the case is heard in January, a clerk in the court in the northern town of Isiolo told Reuters.
Kenyan security agents arrested the two suspects this week during an operation to flush out bandits and cattle rustlers from the area, which is notorious for violent robberies and clashes between nomads.
Willy Lugusa, the commander of the operation, said they were still looking for three others suspected of taking part in the attack.
The attack was the third on Western tourists in Kenya in two months. Tourism is one of the east African country`s biggest foreign exchange earners. (*)
