Based on the results of a toss-up here on Tuesday the two had to work hard to be able to grab a gold medal.
On Wednesday Firdasari would meet Thet Htar Thu Zar from Myanmar in the first round. If she won she would meet a stronger player namely the winner of the match between Gu Juan from Singapore and Nguyen Phuong Nhi from Vietnam.
Bellatrix Manuputty meanwhile has to meet the fourth seeded from Singapore in the first round, Fu Mingtian.
"This is the consequence of our women players` ranking which is not good. But we believe Firda and Bella would play maximally to achieve the best," the secretary general of the All Indonesia Badminton Association, Yacob Rusdianto, said.
The top seeded players are from Thailand namely Porntip Buranaprasertsuk and three-time world junior champion Ratchanok Intanon.
Thailand meanwhile fields Duanganong Aroonkesorn/Kunchala Voravichitchaikul as the first seeded double players while Indonesia`s Vita Marissa/Nadya Melati and Nitya Krishinda/Anneke Feinya respectively are second and fourth seeded.
Yacob admitted that the opportunity for the women players to win gold medals was slim as players from rival countries such as Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia are also good.
"Hopefully they have strong motivation as they play in their own home like they have shown in the match against Thailand in the team event, which was won by Thailand" he said.
