Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The Indonesian squad grabbed two gold medals at the pencak silat finals at the Padepokan Pencak Silat in the Indonesia in Miniature Park (TMII) on Thursday.

Indonesia`s Amelia Roring won a gold medal after beating Siti Rahmah Mohamed Nazir of Malaysia in the women`s E class.

Rosmayani outclassed Jutarat Noytapa of Thailand in the class C, adding a gold medal to the Indonesian squad`s medal tally.

Meanwhile, Indonesia`s Sofani Rahmawati who played in the class F won a silver medal after she lost to Tran Thi Luyen of Vietnam in the finals.

In the men`s class I, Indonesia`s Pranoto got a silver medal after he failed to overcome Dang Minh Le of Vietnam in the finals.

By collecting nine gold medals, five silver medals and two bronze medals, the Indonesian squad emerged as an overall champion in the SEA Games 2011 pencak silat.

Rosmayani said she was happy to win a gold medal in the event, saying it was a form of her dedication to the Indonesian state and nation.

"Thank God, I won the match and I present this medal to the nation and state," she said.
