"The value is based on the calculation of credit average divided by sales multiplied by the number of days in a month," Commercial Manager of the Bali state electricity company (PT. PLN) Syamsul Huda said here Thursday.
Syamsul said that Bali`s COP figure is considered to be the best because it has been the lowest in Indonesia.
This achievement is made by hard work of the Bali office by conducting a customer sweepstakes appreciation program with many rewards.
The Bali PLN office is recently also implementing a program to disconnect customer`s electricity of those who are not paying their bills properly.
"Such program is meant to encourage and accustom all customers to pay their power bills on time," Syamsul said.
According to the regulations, PLN has the right to disconnect power lines of customers who pay their bills over a predetermined period, on the 20th of every month.
The company has the right to cut off it power lines on the next day if the customers have still not paid their bills, he said.
The program turned out to have a correlation on customer habit in paying their bills on time and eventually reducing the credit value.
"Based on our latest data, the current receivables are Rp 8 billion," he said.(*)
