Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Chief Abraham Samad said the commission would focus on enforcement to settle corruption cases left by former commissioners.

Therefore, the KPK`s task of enforcement and corruption prevention would be spread equally among all five commissioners, he said here on Friday.

He said the decision was taken solely with the aim of settling all cases that had not yet been finished to meet the expectations of all parties and the people, especially with regard to the big corruption cases.

"We have spread our tasks but our concentration will be on enforcement," he said.

Another reason for not dividing the task of enforcement and prevention among the commissioners was to spread the work burden equally among the five commissioners, he said.

Under the former KPK leadership the tasks were divided among four commissioners equally but this time all commissioners would bear equal responsibility.(*)
