Bandarlampung, Lampung (ANTARA News) - Lampung province`s cocoa exports in January 2012 rose to 2,514 tons worth US$6.074 million from 1,725 tons valued at US$4.415 million in December 2011.

"The cocoa exports mainly went to India and Malaysia," Head of the Lampung Provincial Cooperatives, Small Businesses, Industry and Trade Office Ardhy Wijaya said here on Friday.

In January 2012, Lampung exported 2,311 tons of cocoa worth US$5.616 million to India and 203.20 tons worth US$457,510 to Malaysia, he said.

Cocoa is one of the province`s key export commodities besides coffee, palm oil, and spices.(*)
