Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon will hold a bilateral meeting at Bogor Palace in Bogor, West Java, at 9 on Tuesday morning.

After the bilateral meeting, Yudhoyono and Ban Ki-Moon will make their way to International Peace and Security Centre (IPSC) in Sentul to speak on the "UN Peacekeeping: Challenges and Opportunities for Indonesia, the Region and Beyond."

The UN chief and his entourage arrived on Monday for an official visit to Indonesia until Wednesday at the invitation of President Yudhoyono.

On Wednesday, Ban will attend the Second Jakarta International Defense Dialogue (JIDD II) which is to be opened by President Yudhoyono.

At the dialog, Ban is scheduled to speak on "The UN and Global Security: Collaboration and Partnership."

Presidential special staff for international relation Teuku Faizasyah said the visit to Indonesia by the UN chief was expected to improve the cooperation between Indonesia and the United Nations in various fields and to ensure the success of Indonesia in reaching the target of Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).

Faizasyah said that at the International Peace and Security Center in Sentul, the UN chief would give an information about the latest development of the UN peace keeping operation.
