"The Indonesian delegation will consist of government officials, non-governmental organizations (NGO) personnel and representatives of private agencies," the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) chief Sugiri Syarief, said here on Tuesday.
The International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) 2012 is an annual meeting conducted by the U.N. This year`s theme will deal with teenagers and youths.
"The meeting will discuss the condition of teenagers and youths globally and how to address their problems," he said.
Meanwhile, the BKKBN Deputy for prosperous and empowerment family affairs, Sudibyo Alimoeso, said the Indonesian delegation to the U.N. meeting will seek to convey information about problems confronting Indonesian teenagers. Specifically, the Indonesian delegation will seek to discuss teenage problems, such as free sex, early marriage and involvement with drugs.
