Denpasar, Bali (ANTARA News) - Balinese musician Kadek Ayu Sri Handayani will hold a charity music parade to assist in combating HIV/AIDS in the island paradise.

"This function is purely a form of appreciation and my moral responsibility to the others. Moreover, I will see that our young people have a little knowledge of HIV/AIDS," the musician said here on Wednesday.

Kadek Ayu noted that the charity music parade will be held on April 6 at the Serambi Art Antida on Waribang street number 32, Kesiman, Denpasar.

"This year`s concert is a follow-up to last year`s event. I have donated about Rp14 million collected from the concert to the Provincial AIDS Commission through Yayasan Citra Usadha Bali Indonesia," she added.

According to Kadek Ayu, her reasons to conduct the follow-up concert are also based on the fact that some junior and senior high school students are already engaged in free sex and need to be educated.

"At the concert, I will collaborate with artists who are members of Community Music in Bali," she said. (Uu.B003/INE/KR-BSR/H-YH)
