"The health minister`s conditions have dropped though slowly since yesterday."Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Health minister Endang Rahayu Sedyaningsih`s health conditions have been worsening since Tuesday morning and she is now being given a standard Intensive Care Unit (ICU) treatment.
"Right now her conditions are worse. We have been giving her more intensive treatment since in the evening. Her conditions are critical," the president director of Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital Akmal Taher said here on Tuesday evening.
The team of doctors that have so far treated her have gathered since morning to provide treatment.
"The health minister`s conditions have dropped though slowly since yesterday. The drop was seen more visibly this morning," he said.
Akmal said the health minister`s consciousness has also dropped but he did not tell further about it.
The health minister is being given standard ICU treatment but Akmal could not tell how long it would be given.
The minister was detected to suffer a lung cancer since October 2010.
She has so far received local radiation and cryosurgery to treat the disease locally and improve her immune system.
Three weeks ago she started receiving treatment at the hospital for feeling physical pain. ***3***
