"The investor is ready to build the trash management system that can store 40 tons of garbage."
Manado, North Sulawesi (ANTARA News) - An investor from Japan has expressed interest to invest in garbage management at Sumompo final waste disposal site (TPA Sumompo) this year in Manado, North Sulawesi, according to local Sanitary Department spokesman Julises Oehlers.

"We had held two technical meetings and agreed that the local government would provide the location of garbage management, while the investor would provide the funds and equipment," Oehlers said here on Thursday.

He explained that the investor was ready to invest in garbage management here after obtaining first-hand information about TPA Sumompo location.

"The investor is ready to build the trash management system that can store 40 tons of garbage per day, which can be processed to produce electricity," Oehlers added.

He said the electricity produced from garbage management would be provided to the people of Manado.

Oehlers expressed hope that the investor could soon execute his plan so that the garbage at Sumompo final waste disposal site would be managed properly for the welfare of the local people.
