"The years 2012 and 2013 are the working years for the Democrat Party and, therefore, we have yet to talk about presidential and vice presidential candidates. The cadres of the party are busy performing their duties to support the government`s programmes," Anas said at the Cibubur camping ground on Friday.
He noted the cadres of the party would continue to work for the government while strengthening their party's position.
Anas said the party would discuss the presidential and vice presidential candidates at a High Tribunal meeting, but a date was yet to be fixed.
"I am the High Tribunal deputy chairman but I have not received any invitation for the meeting to discuss the matter," he stated, adding that the Law No.42/2008 on presidential election would be revised by the House of Representatives (DPR).
According to Anas, several points of Law No.42/2008, which are related to the requirements for presidential candidates, should be revised and adjusted with the latest political developments.
"I suggest some points in the law be revised, not all of them, because most are still good and effective," he explained. (O001)
