President accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, several ministers and Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika, officially kicked off the parade by seeing off the participants of the parade from a street near People`s Struggle Monument in Bali.
The parade itself is participated in by 18 groups of people coming from Bali and other areas in Indonesia such as from North Sumatra, West Nusa Tenggara and the local Chinese community.
Governor Mangku Pastika in his speech said the Bali Cultural Festival is part of the government`s efforts to show and preserve Bali`s rich culture.
