...our focus is on economic sector...Jakarta (ANTARA News) - President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and his entourage left Halim Perdanakusuma military airbase here at 7 on Monday morning for a three-day working visit to Darwin, Australia.
"Indonesia and a number of friendly countries have an annual leaders meeting and thus we do the same with Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia every year," President Yudhoyono said at Halim Perdanakusuma airport`s VVIP room before departing to the Australian Northern Territorial city.
The head of state noted that his previous meeting with Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard took place in Bali in November 2011 and this year the meeting would be held in Darwin.
"We have several agenda to be discussed in Darwin but our focus is on economic sector," President Yudhoyono said, adding that returning from Darwin to Jakarta later, he would stop in Sumba Timur district, East Nusa Tenggara for a visit.
While in East Nusa Tenggara, the head of state will observe the progress of development in the region while finding out things that have to get special attention from the central government.
During the visit to Darwin, the president is accompanied by First Lady Ani Yudhoyono, Economic Minister Hatta Radjasa, Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs Djoko Suyanto, Foreign Affairs Minister Marty Natalegawa, Defense Minister Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Minister/State Secretary Sudi Silalahi, TNI Chief Admiral Agus Suhartono, and Cabinet Secretary Dipo Alam.
The president`s entourage is also made up of Bali Governor Made Mangku Pastika, East Nusa Tenggara Governor Frans Lebu Raya, and West Papua Governor Abraham Ataruri.
