....three Indonesian nationals were injured in the incident."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Three Indonesian nationals were injured in a shooting rampage at a suburban Denver movie theater in Colorado during a midnight screening of the new Batman film on Friday evening, an official confirmed.

"Our Consulate General in Los Angeles had contacted the Indonesian community in Denver and was informed that three Indonesian nationals were injured in the incident," Foreign Affairs Minster Marty Natalegawa told the newsmen here on Saturday.

Marty said the three Indonesian victims were of Situmeang family and consisted of Anggiat M. Situmeang, the father, Rita Paulina Situmeang, the mother and Prodeo Et Patria Situmeang, the son.

Marty noted that the Indonesian representative office in Los Angeles would extend its full cooperation towards their treatments at the hospital.

According to Reuters, a gunman in a gas mask and a bullet-proof vest killed 12 people at a midnight premiere of the new Batman movie, sparking pandemonium when he hurled a gas canister into the auditorium and opened fire on moviegoers.

Hospital officials told Reuters that some 55 others, including children, were hurt in the attack during the staging of "The Dark Knight Rises" at a mall in the suburb of Aurora. Some of the injured fans were treated for the effects of tear gas.

Multiple media outlets named the suspect as James Eagan Holmes, 24, though Reuters has not independently confirmed his identity.

The suspect booby-trapped his Aurora apartment with sophisticated explosives, Oates told reporters. (*)
