Construction of gas fuel filling stations with the 2012 budget fund of Rp2.1 trillion is still in process.
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - The government will allocate Rp1.5 trillion from the 2013 state budget for the construction of more gas fuel filling stations.

Last year, the government already provided Rp2.1 trillion for the same program, Oil and Gas Director General Evita Legowo said here on Tuesday.

Evita, however, could not give figure for the gas fuel filling stations to be built in 2013.

She said the energy and mineral resources ministry has no more budget for converter kits in 2013.

The industry ministry would be responsible for the procurement of converter kits in 2013, she said.

Industry Minister MS Hidayat has said his ministry would provide Rp500 billion for the procurement of converter kits in 2013.

In 2012, the energy and mineral resources ministry has Rp250 billion in budget for the procurement of converter kit from the state budget.

Evita said construction of gas fuel filling stations with the 2012 budget fund of Rp2.1 trillion is still in process.

"One unit is expected to be operational by the end of 2012 and the rest will follow in 2013," she said.

The Rp2.1 trillion fund is for the construction of 33 units of gas fuel filling station, she said.

In line with the presidential regulation No 64 of 2012 the government assigns state oil and gas company PT Pertamina to provide and distribute gas fuel in the form of compressed natural gas (CNG).

Pertamina will build 33 units of CNG filling stations in 2013 consisting of five units of "mother station", nine units of "daughter station", 14 units of stations connected with gas pipes and five "mobile refueling station" (MRS).

Pertamina`s Gas Director Hari Karyuliarto said the company will finish construction of the 33 units of gas fuel filling station by phases from January to April 2013.

Pertamina also hopes to operate a gas fuel filling station built with own fund in Daan Mogot, West Jakarta in December 2012.(*)
