Pekanbaru, Riau Province (ANTARA News) - Malaysia`s Mahkota Medical Center (MMC) has opened 16 branches in Indonesia in an effort to provide cheap medical services for Indonesian patients, its executive said.

"The branch offices have been built in Pekanbaru, Bali, Kalimantan and in a number of other regions in Sumatra. The branches have also been built outside Indonesia, namely Cambodia and Phnompenh," MMC Marketing Executive Director Goh Pei Ru, said here on Sunday.

He was here during the inauguration of MMC`s neurologist center.

Goh explained that MMC belonged to the Health Management International Ltd (HMI), a health service group based in Singapore.

The MMC was established in 1994 and was aimed at providing best services for patients with costs within the financial reach of the people.

"We have 69 medical specialists ready to provide services in various medical fields," Goh said adding that the management was convinced that the medical center would be able to give complete medical care with reachable costs.

MMC is opening neurologist service center with complete equipment for patients suffering from strokes.(Uu.A014)
