Semarang, Central Java (ANTARA News) - Vice President Boediono is scheduled to observe a number of projects included in the Master Plan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Indonesia`s Economic Development (MP3EI) in Central Java on Tuesday.

"The vice president will inspect a double-track railway project and Semarang`s Ahmad Yani Airport development," Hadi Prabowo, Central Java Regional Government Secretary, said here.

In Observing the double track railway project, the vice president will use a train from the Tawang Train Station to the Alas Tuwas Train Terminal, Hadi said.

Regarding the Ahmad Yani airport project, the vice president will receive a report on the development of the airport.

Head of the Transportation Service of Central Java Urip Sihabudin said that the vice president had no observation tour of the airport field.

The development of Ahmad Yani airport has reached preparations for the construction of new exit taxi ways. "Th exit taxi ways have begun to be developed with the installation of about three thousand pillars," he said.

Besides observing the development of two MP3EI projects, the vice president is also slated to visit the Diponegoro University in Semarang in conjunction of the university anniversary, he said.

Indonesia is currently boosting its economic development through the MP3EI program.

The International Finance Corporation (IFC) has expressed its continuing support for the government`s program under the MP3EI.

"IFC supports the government`s program because MP3EI is a positive initiative and will provide development opportunities for people in these regions," IFC Country Manager Sarvesh Suri said recently.

"The World Bank and IFC are studying the policies that the Indonesian government plans to implement over the next three years," he added.

As a member of the World Bank Group, IFC plans to increase its investment in Indonesia by US$400-600 million by June 2013.

"The funds will be used to finance hydropower plant projects of private companies," Suri stated.

"IFC`s investment has reached almost US$300 million across eight projects in Indonesia. This is in addition to the US$7 million invested in technical collaboration projects across the country in 2012. And in 2013, IFC plans to add a further US$400-600 million more," he explained.

Suri said his organization also helped Indonesian farmers, particularly coffee growers, compete with international coffee companies.
