London (ANTARA News) - Visiting President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and Queen Elizabeth II have agreed to expand cooperation between Indonesia and Britain.

Queen Elizabeth said at a state dinner honoring Yudhoyono at the Buckingham on Wednesday night that the visit by the Indonesian president is important to expand bilateral cooperation.

"Your visit provides an opportunity for us to expand cooperation in all aspects from trade, investment to climate change and education," the Queen said.

This year is marked with the spirit of cooperation and partnership, she added.

Yudhoyono said the peoples` of the two countries are expected to gain from his visit .

"Indonesia is always eager to promote cooperation with Britain, a cooperation which would benefit the two countries as well as the world," he said.

Earlier Queen Elizabeth II granted a token of appreciation, Knight Grand Cross in the Order of the Bath, for Yudhoyono for his success in leading Indonesia.

The queen fastened the Order of the Bath medal on the president after the launch at the Buckingham. (*)
