Jakarta (ANTARA New) - An earthquake measuring 5.5 on the Richter scale jolted Sukabumi, West Java on Saturday at 01:05 p.m. local time.

According to the Meteorology Climatology and Geophysics Agency, the epicenter of the earthquake was located at 7.79 degrees Southern Latitude and 106.52 degrees Western Longitude or 85 kilometers southwest of the Sukabumi District, or 131 kilometers southwest of Bandung, or 184 kilometers southwest of Jakarta, at a depth of 10 kilometers.

The earthquake, however, has no tsunami potential.
