"The body will be taken to Bima in one of two days."
Jakarta (ANTARA News) - Police confirmed that the body of a terrorist suspect killed during a firefight with police Densus 88 anti-terrorist squad in Poso belongs to M Choiri alias Jipo alias Iben hailing from Bima, West Nusa Tenggara.

"Based on DNA test by police DVI it is positive it is that of M Choiri. Right now his family has been in Jakarta and the body will be taken to Bima in one of two days," National Police Headquarters head of public information division Brigadier Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said here on Monday.

The examination of the body by DVI has finished and police would help the family take it to Bima, he said.

"JIpo alias Ibeng is involved in several terrorist activities in West Nusa Tenggara in 2011. He worked as a teacher at the Umar Bin Khatab Islamic Boarding School in Bima," he said.

Jipo has also asked his friends to participate in the terrorist training camp in Gunung Biru, Tamajeka, Poso, Central Sulawesi.

The Densus 88 anti-terrorist squad was involved in a firefight with suspected terrorists in Kalora village, in the sub-district of Poso Pesisir Utara at around 5.30 on Wednesday morning.

The location is around 50 kilometers north of Poso town. The firefight lasted for around 30 minutes.

Ibeng died on the scene while two other suspects known as MR and RHI in their initials were caught alive and have been taken to the Mobile Brigade Headquarters in Kelapa Dua, Depok, West Java, for further investigation.

"They are suspected to be involved in terrorist actions in Palu and the shooting to death of police members in an attack at BCA bank several years ago. He was also registered as a participating in a training camp in Gunung Biru, Tamanjeka," he said.

Boy said Densus 88 had discovered pieces of evidence on the location of the raid including guns, pipe bombs, chemical substances and urea fertilizer usually used as a mixture of explosive materials amounting as much as one bag.
