Caracas (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - Two military airplanes on Thursday collided in midair in the Libertador Aerial Base in Palo Negro, the Venezuelan state of Aragua.

Preliminary reports said the collision took place at noon local time (1530 GMT) while the two planes were practicing before a parade scheduled for Nov. 27.

Local media said at least a soldier was killed and one more was injured.

No other information was available for the moment.
